Join Me For The Best Hors and Cocks

…That would be hors d’oeuvres and cocktails for all of my non-gutter minded friends. Hey, do you expect anything less of me? Even though it’s been gorgeous here in the Midwest, the official first day of summer happens in less than two weeks…June 20th to be exact. In celebration of the “longest day of the year,” I would like to invite you to join me in another interactive cook-along with Mivesta! Remember the last cook-along when we had a Mexican fiesta, complete with hand mixed margaritas? This time, I will continue the same format by beginning with a cocktail, a Ginger Gin Sour and pairing it with a delicious appetizer of Balsamic Asian Pear Flatbread. You don’t want to miss it.

If you are unfamiliar with how a Mivesta cook-along event works, let me help you out.

1.) RSVP for the event. Don’t worry, it’s free.

2.) Decide if you want to cook-along during the event or just watch. If you want to cook along, read through the recipes and gather your ingredients before the event. Pay close attention to the pre-preparation instructions, otherwise there won’t be enough time to finish during the demo.

**If it freaks you out to even attempt to cook, it’s okay! Come have a drink with us instead. It’s like, one big online party. You can choose to be in video, audio, chat box or sit quietly and watch. It’s all very casual.

3.) On the day and time of the cook-along (June 20 at 6:00 pm CST), go to Mivesta.com, sign in and click “join the event.” Everyone will be there waiting for you…unless I’ve scared everyone else away…then it’ll just be me. *grin*

Cooking with friends is one of my very favorite things to do, which is what Mivesta is all about. So please tell your friends to meet there as well. We’ll be sure to have a good ole’ time!

Oh you know I love this idea, right? So awesome – and I’m with you on loving to cook with friends. I’ll skip the gin drink (bleh) but ohhh the pear flatbread sounds divine. I’m going to have to see if I can squeeze this in!

I hope you can make it…it’s really fun! And the drink? I’ll start with that and it only takes a quick second to put together. If you don’t like gin, you can replace with vodka…or leave the alcohol out and just enjoy ginger green tea. Even if you don’t have time to cook along, be sure to stop in and say “hi!”

You can! It’s solely interactive online! :) Messaged.
