Be A Stonyfield Food Superhero and Win!

Have you ever wanted to be a superhero: Spiderman, Batman or Super Woman? What super powers do you long to possess? Even though it’s fun to imagine, there is now a way to become a supermarket superhero!

As part of Stonyfield Farms’ year-long ‘Know Your Food’ campaign, they have launched Stonyfield Food Superheroes, a light-hearted and interactive campaign inviting food lovers to transform themselves into Food Superheroes by showing off their powers to support a healthy, sustainable food system through the small actions they take each day. For every Food Superhero profile created, Stonyfield will donate $1 to FoodCorps, a national nonprofit organization that addresses childhood health through food by working directly in schools in limited-resource communities.

In a few fun clicks, you can assume a Food Superhero persona with superpowers and names to fit. Kale Crusader or Strawberry Avenger can decide whether she prefers to ‘use food to support the little guy’ or perhaps ‘make healthy food choices in a single bound,’ a few of the choices available. Upload a photo, pop in ‘Shazam’ or ‘Pow’ graphics, and share via social media. In case you are wondering, here is my superhero bio. I may home school, but that doesn’t mean I don’t read the public school menus in the paper each week. And yes, what is being served is usually quite suspect.

To kick off the campaign, Stonyfield wants to turn you into a Food Superhero and give you a chance to win! Bam! One lucky reader will receive a $50 gift card to Whole Foods Market in order to purchase foods that make you a Stonyfield Food Superhero. Also included: a Stonyfield “Food Superhero” cape, a FREE 6oz Stonyfield coupon, and some temporary tattoos.
