Old World Market – Taste of Oktoberfest

Need something to do on Saturday, September 22nd? How about a little free drink and food tasting at Old World Market in Valparaiso, Indiana? Anytime from 11am to 3pm, come spend an hour celebrating Oktoberfest by sampling some great German and Fall brewed beers, wines and German themed foods! Last year, we picked up a six pack of Woodchuck Hard Cider (which, by the way, is an awesome replacement for beer in a beer bread recipe), Butterkase cheese and spicy hard salami. They also provided live music to enjoy while spending time in the tasting tent (children are not allowed under the tent but there are tables at which they can sit.) If you haven’t already, please take a moment to meet the Old World Market owners, John and Dee…and tell them Toni Snearly sent you!

This looks AMAZING! My husband is German and I LOVE their food!

Wish we were available that day to check it out!

No worries…this business offers monthly activities so maybe you could catch one another time :)

Oooo that sounds like it would have been fun. Obviously, I’m late to the party (literally!), but I hope you enjoyed it. Are you going to tell us all about it?

Actually, I wasn’t able to stop by this year, but did make it last year. I love supporting locally owned business, especially when the product and owners are this great! :)
